The mission of The Joy of Music is to provide exceptional music therapy and music instruction while exceeding the expectations of those we serve.

Elisabeth Tinnes is a board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) with 14 years of musical experience including performance in trumpet, voice, violin, piano and guitar.
She graduated with distinction in music therapy and trumpet performance from the University of Iowa and completed her internship requirements at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2005.
After satisfying the Certification Board for Music Therapists, Elisabeth founded The Joy of Music, improving the lives and meeting the psychosocial needs of people in her community through goal-oriented music interventions.
